29 Week Update

So, to put my complainer hat on, today I'm super tired & have been having tons of Braxton-Hicks contractions as well as round ligament pain.  OK, enough complaining.  I just realized I have only about 9 weeks left of work, then maternity leave starts!  Yay!  That makes me smile.

I have been thinking about when Baby arrives.  I'm so looking forward to our complete family (we are done after two).  I think about the four of us all the time.  It's just this feeling of completeness I can't describe, but I'm looking forward to our family of three growing to our final family of four.  I know Jeremy is looking forward to getting rid of all the baby stuff once Baby outgrows it too. :)

As far as things with Kellen, Summer Camp is about half way over.  They went to the De Anza Planetarium last week & he had a blast!  The new school year starts about a month away.  My, how time flies!!!  Kellen is thriving.  He is such a joy & we are constantly amazed at the things he says and does everyday.  He has his "three year old" moments, and it's then we are reminded that we do have a three year old!  Otherwise, he is wise beyond his years.  He has adjusted to his new "big room" well, and is staying at camp three days a week 8am to 6pm.  Quite an adjustment!  We are very proud of him.  Currently, Kellen is highly interested in music, water, and art.  His favorite instrument at this time is the saxophone.  He loves painting and coloring on his easel.

Here are a couple pics of the past few weeks.

6 1/2 Months (26 weeks)

I have arrived in my third trimester.  I have been known to say that all pregnancies seem to fly by except when they are your own.  Well, this pregnancy seems to be flying by for me too!  I'm feeling pretty good.  I've gained about 20 pounds so far.  My only discomfort at this time is some occassional sciatica on both sides and I still have terrible bloating.  Both issues are likely to get worse before they get better.  Oh well, just need to suck it up...  This week, I'll go for my glucose screening test, then I'll start having prenatal appointments every two weeks.  We have been busy re-arranging the house.  Making sure Kellen is squared away and comfortable in his new "big room."  We will likely make an Ikea run this weekend to finish everything off.  We'll be ready for you little man!

SB Visit & Kellen's 3 year photos

Over the Memorial Day weekend, we decided to take a little family vacation and head down to Santa Barbara for some time with friends, beach, and great weather.  While there, we had our time at the beach, BBQ'd (twice), went to the zoo, watched some Sharks play-off hockey, and had a chance to catch up with some of our favorite friends.  It was a quick trip, but SOO nice we could get away before our family of three turns to four.

Here are some of our favorite pics from observing the animals at the zoo:

Kellen Turns Three with Thomas the Train & Friends

Kellen had his mind made up that he wanted a Thomas party months before it was his birthday.  He even knew the color cupcake with frosting he wanted!  So off we went to Oak Meadow Park for his birthday where they have a small scale ride along steam train with all of his little buddies and some family.  We had a great time.  Everyone loved riding the train, riding on the carousel, the pinata, good food, and company.  Happy Third birthday Sweet Boy!
