Well, here we are...two days past my due date. Darn! I had my 40 week appointment, and Dr. Hua stated I've had no progress regarding dilation or effacement. Double darn. Thus, we narrowed in on an inducement date. If I make it, I will be induced Friday, April 30th. Midnight check in. So, will this be an April baby or a May baby? We do know this baby will be a Taurus, which I can't complain about.
All in all, I still feel pretty good. I'm uncomfortable at times, but not too shabby. Today, Jeremy and I walked to the Sunnyvale Farmers Market, so even though I'm sure people are thinking I'm crazy as resemble a house right about now, I'm doing what I can to help move this baby along.
That's it for now, until Friday or so...my next post will probably include some of Baby Lane's first photos. We are anxiously awaiting.............
PS: Sharks just put away the Avalanche in round 1 - off to round 2! Woo hoo!!

Final Belly Progression Shots
Here are my final belly shots. I've gained 35 pounds total, and am still feeling just fine. Some minor nuances, but generally I have nothing to complain about. We are definitely getting anxious for this little one to arrive. Jeremy & I both toss & turn at night. He stated he has to keep telling himself to stay calm when the time comes I wake with labor pains (we anticipate it happening in the middle of the night). Every slight pain in my back or abdomen that stirs me, I think to myself...is that a contraction? Then, go back to sleep...

Latest OB Update: 39 weeks
I had a great day today! I spent most of the day shopping with my mom for non-maternity clothes as a birthday gift. My mom helped me keep important things in mind such as clothes that will hide blow-outs, leaks, and various other "fluids" that may end up on me as well as easy nursing access. It was fun though to finally buy clothing items in the "trendy" section of the department store, and imagine my body post baby.
I also went to the OB for my weekly check up. Doctor said I'm almost 3cm dilated, am still 70% effaced, and baby's head is at -2 station. Baby is making great progress, and she stated that he or she could come by Saturday, but if she had to put money on it, thinks baby will come by Wednesday next week. So, all in all a great check up.
Until next week. I will be posting belly progressions shots for the final time (if I make it).

Last Day of Work & 9 1/2 month OB appt update
Today is my last day of work! Woo hoo! What a work week this has been. I'm so glad it's over. I know I'll miss work at some point, but it sure feels good knowing that I don't come back until August 2nd. Wow, August 2nd seems so far away, but I know it will go by very quickly for me.
Yesterday I had my 38 week OB appointment. Dr. Hua did an exam and found that I'm 1.5cm dilated & 70% effaced!!! She stated that is excellent progress, and asked if our bags were packed, ha!! She said she could see me delivering as early as next week or the following week at the latest. The only thing holding Baby Lane back was that the head was still a little high - so I'll be a squatting & walking fool now that I have extra time on my hands with no work. Dr. Hua stated that effacement was a better indicator to her than dilation on pending labor, so very good news!!
As for me, I'm hanging in there. Not too bad considering I'm 38 weeks pregnant. Sleep is still intermittent. Lately, I can't sleep because I can't stop thinking about holding this baby in my arms, and finally meeting him or her. Not due to being uncomfortable really. My main discomfort at this time is the pelvic pressure. Holy moley!!! This is one pregnancy symptom I was blind sided too...I had no idea. Oh well, there's an end in sight, right?

Finally! Baby's room is complete. We are thrilled with the results. It was quite a bit of work, but we love it. Be sure to notice the paint job!! Here are some pics:
