Newborn Photoshoot

Well, Kellen is technically not a newborn anymore, but I had to share the pictures of his newborn shoot. All photos taken by Kacie Jean Photography. Just beautiful, and we will cherish these forever! Look what I can do!

I put Kellen in his crib so I could take a shower after our walk. I set him in there like this:

I returned not ten minutes later and he was like this...smiling and cooing at his polar bear, whale, and penguin friends (on the crib bumpers) rotated 90 degrees:

Makin' Friends!

Kellen has been making all sorts of new friends. A couple weeks ago, the Matsueda twins (Ryan & Logan) came over. What big boys!! I work with their Daddy at AST. They are five months older than Kellen (so they are six months old in these pics). They are very sweet boys. Then, last week, Kellen and I went over to The Carlos' house. Trisha & Rey's daughter Gianna & Kellen are only two days apart. Trisha & I were even roomed across the hall from one another at the hospital. Kellen also got to finally meet Miss Makayla. Makayla is six weeks older than Kellen. Makayla's mom Cortney, Trisha, & I all did prenatal yoga together. Kellen also took a pic with Makayla's Daddy, Lafo.

Made you Smile

Kellen has been surprising us with little smiles here and there for maybe a week and a half now. Lately he's been a smiling fool & I was able to capture it on video. He's also starting to gurgle and coo. He sounds like a cute little owl, and I'll try to get him cooing on video soon enough. You can hear him click his tongue too as he's currently discovering it. Also, look for the adorable eye brow raise at the end. Enjoy! PS: He has the hiccups again too...ha!

Busy Weekend!

We are having fun bringing Kellen out to see the world. He is definitely a crowd pleaser, & always steals the show! We started out the weekend with one of our favorite annual events. The Sunnyvale Art & Wine festival. We walked down from the house, and made our way through all of the booths. Kellen slept the entire time!! We then went to Cousin Julianne's high school graduation party in Redwood City. Kellen was passed around receiving tons of love from cousins, Great Aunts, Great Uncles, Auntie Lisa, Uncle Jimmy, Papa & Grandma Sue. Again, he was stealing the show.

Then Sunday, we went to a 60th birthday party for dear friends of the Lane Family. He was such a trooper as he was handed around from person to person. Looks like we might have a social butterfly on our hands.
