In just the past two weeks we feel like we almost have an entirely new child on our hands. HE IS MOBILE. Not only is he crawling like a champ, but is is pulling himself up to standing on everything he can, once standing, he is "walking" around (known as cruising) in a standing position while holding on, and he is also transitioning from a crawling position to a sitting position quite effortlessly. Boy, who needs exercise? Come over to our house for a work out. Keeping up with him is exhausting. Childproofing has gone into full fledged mode. We kept reading to prepare for it, but we thought eh, he doesn't move that fast yet - well, it sure came quickly that he moves at lightning speed! Here he is in action the other day:

Who do I look like?
Many of you state, I can't tell who Kellen looks like. Well, here are a few photos of Jeremy & I as babies. Now, who do you think he looks like? I think it's almost spooky how similar he looks to one of us...what do you think?

CHOMP CHOMP CHOMP! Kellen's First Sharks Game
On January 8th, we took Kellen to his first Sharks game. The Sharks played the Nashville Predators, as this was the only Saturday game all season that had an earlier than 7:30 start time (perfect for us with a little one). Uncle Andy and family friend Will joined us as well.
Kellen did great! He wore his headphones without too much fuss (but a little). We knew he didn't like them, but after quickly distracting him, he left them alone. He managed to pull them off a couple times, but that was it. The Sharks scored once, and Little Kellen jumped out of his skin (but didn't cry). Good thing the headphones were on! That fog horn & crowd was SUPER loud! Finally, during the third period, Jeremy removed his head phones as we could tell he was getting a little tired, and to let him get a break from wearing them. Well, Kellen got his second wind after that, and was back to his normal self clapping, yelling YAAAAAAY!!!, and bouncing in our laps. He was ultra curious watching at the players zoom by, looking at the jumbo tron, looking at all the people in the crowd, and the colorful display ribbon that encircles the arena. I think the headphones really restricted his hearing & he wasn't tuned into a lot of the commotion going on around him. It was a good thing (only for Kellen's sake; b/c the Sharks lost) that the Sharks didn't score again. All in all, Kellen did great. Can't wait to take him to the next one, and even one day a Stanford basketball, football, or 49er game!
