Maternity Photo Shoot

As Jeremy mentions in his Daddy post, we had the very talented Kacie (also one of my greatest friends) do a maternity photo shoot for us. We were thrilled with the results. Here are a few. I am 32 weeks in these pics:

Shower Time!

Within the last three weeks, I have had three baby showers! I feel so lucky & loved to be surrounded by so many wonderful people. Your generocity has been amazing, and Baby Lane will enter this world surrounded by so much of your love. We received many of our registry items (only a couple duplicates), and believe we are all set for Little Lane's arrival. The nursery has been organized & most everything put away. We promise to put up pictures when complete (we are waiting for our plantation shutters to get installed).

Here are a few pictures from each shower:

Latest Belly Pics

So, these pics may be the last ones...I'm currently 35 weeks (almost 9 months), and I'm due in 30 days. This morning the scale told me I have gained 30 pounds. I feel great! Although, I am constantly hungry, which has been a battle. Sleeping well is intermittent, but I can't really complain. So far, no swelling that I've noticed, and Baby Lane continues to be an active mover.

Before we look at my latest belly shots, I want to congratulate Cortney & Lafo Mase on the arrival of baby Makayla yesterday @ 6:40pm. She weighed 6lbs 14oz, and looks like her daddy! A link to their blog is below, but I'm sure it may take some time before it is updated as they adjust to their new life with little Makayla.

8 1/2 Month OB visit

Big Baby? That is the question. Turns out I'm measuring big this week. My weight gain is right on target (29 lbs to date), but my fundal height should be 34 cm +/- 2 cm (feel free to Google fundal height). This week I measured 36cm. Hmmm...Dr. Hua stated she'll see me in two more weeks, and if I'm still measuring big, then she'll most likely order an ultra sound around 37 weeks to see exactly how big this baby really is. Oh joy! Maybe little Parry was sticking his or her butt out today...or, could it be I have my mothers' family's baby building genes?

Overall, I feel great! Baby's heart sounded nice & strong (140 - 150 range), and Little Lane is still an active mover. Next appointment is scheduled March 25th.

From Daddy-To-Be

I can’t believe it’s already March…and we only have just about 6 more weeks to go! I think we’re almost ready for our little one to join us. At least as ready as we can be although we know it won’t be easy. We just finished the nursery and it looks great! April had a great design idea for the nursery and it was perfectly executed (pics to be posted shortly).

I am extremely excited and anxious for the arrival of Baby Lane! I can’t wait! As April mentions in her previous blogs, we have been attending a few classes and still have a few more to go. These classes are very informative and will definitely help in preparation for what’s to come. At least I hope so.

April is doing well and looks great! Our very good friend Kacie was kind enough to take maternity photos last weekend and they came out great (they will become great memories). April looks absolutely amazing! She even likes the pictures I am in. I’m just glad I didn’t ruin them. Many thanks to Kacie, what an awesome photographer she is (we’ll post a few of our favorites soon).

I want to thank April for being so strong thus far having to deal with everything she has. I know she will be the best mother as she is the best friend, wife and person I know. I will be there every step of the way. I love you, April (and Parry).

Baby Lane on the Move

Check out this quick video of Parry (see why we call the baby Parry below) making his or her presence known. Too funny!

Breast Feeding Class

We went to this class last night.  Originally, we didn't plan to go (we weren't sure it would be worth the $30), but had heard that it was extrememly informative and beneficial to go.  Boy, it sure was informative!  The 2 1/2 hour class was filled with all kinds of data, pictures, video, & the instructor was very easy to follow and listen to.  My hand was constantly taking notes of little tid bits I was unaware of.  Every so often Jeremy would lean over and say, "I read about that in the pregnancy book."  Which was very cute!  Our child prep classes begin Friday which Jeremy & I are looking forward to.  I'll be sure to blog about that as well as the Baby Showers next week!
